In this episode we hear from Dr Alexander Lees, Senior Lecturer in Ecology, on protecting the long-term future of the Amazon rainforest, while ensuring it remains a sustainable part of Brazil’s economy.
Dr Lees discusses how his ecological research is helping to influence local and global policy, as well as how rainforest protection laws, international funding and prioritisation programs can hold back deforestation and create value for local and national communities.
